NEW NET Issues List for 05 Feb 2008

One of the main activities for tonight's NEW NET (NorthEast Wisconsin Network for Economy and Technology issues) meeting will be technologies related to remote participation in these tech enthusiast meetings. On 03 February, Luke W and I did a test run for some of this remote participation technology and were pleasantly surprised by the initial success. From this point forward, it will be a matter of testing different combinations of hardware and software to see what communication technologies give the most enjoyable and effective remote participation experience.

In addition to working on establishing reliable default participation technologies for NEW NET meetings, tonight we'll also develop a list of technologies to try out and main topics for upcoming meetings.

To connect to the NEW NET meeting tonight, head over to Stickam and connect with newnet2, or go on Skype and connect with bwaldron22. You can just watch on Stickam without signing up for an account, but if you want to participate in the NEW NET meeting, you should sign up for a Stickam account -- there's a small "Sign Up" link in yellow text near the top center of the Stickam main page.

Below is the final list of issues for the TUESDAY, 05 February 2008, NEW NET (Northeast Wisconsin Network for Economy and Technology) 7:00 - 9:00 pm weekly gathering upstairs at Tom's Drive In, 501 N Westhill Blvd, Appleton, Wisconsin, USA.
