BarCampMadison - Feb 2007?

An email was sent out yesterday announcing BarCampMadison is open for registration!

BarCamps are technology unconferences for people passionate about using or creating technology. Some of the core people organizing BarCampMadison participated in BarCampMilwaukee, held on 30 Sep - 01 Nov 2006. They enjoyed the event so much they decided to plan one for Madison, Wisconsin.

The date has not yet been finalized for BarCampMadison, but the target is a weekend in February 2007. Check the event website regularly to find out which weekend is chosen, or send me an email, and we'll contact you when the date is known.

One way to get the most out of the event is to help organize and shape it. BarCamps are planned by anyone who is interested in helping out. It helps if you live close enough to the Madison area that you can be at some of the planning meetings. If you are too far away from Madison to participate in the planning meetings, you can help by making the wiki as usable as possible, by encouraging others to participate in the BarCamp, and by finding sponsors for the event.
